The RHA is pleased to announce its 2016/2017 Board of Directors:

Mr. Ryan Urzada (Chair) –  Travelodge Hotel & Conference Centre Regina

Mr. Steven Dyck (Finance Director) –  Best Western Plus Eastgate Inn & Suites

Ms. Connie Young –  Executive Royal Hotel

In addition, we are pleased to advise of the appointment of Ryan Urzada as our new Board Chair. Urzada assumed his new role with the RHA in May 2016 as the fourth Board Chair.

“Mr. Urzada’s 15 years of professional hotel industry experience is a great asset to our organization,” said Tracy Fahlman, CEO of the Regina Hotel Association, “I look forward to working with him and the Board to achieve our aggressive strategic goals that will provide value to our membership for many years.”

Urzada attended McGill University receiving a Bachelor of Commerce, Management and Marketing in 1995.  He also completed the General Managers Program at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.  Following a career as an Investment Executive with ScotiaMcLeod, Urzada began his hotel career with Dimension 3 Hospitality (d3h) in 2001.  In 2008, he returned to Regina to join the Travelodge Hotel & Conference Centre as its Director of Business Development.  Since then, he has advanced to the role of General Manager and most recently, Managing Director.

“I am honored that the Board has entrusted me to undertake this strategic leadership role,” said Urzada.   “We have great opportunities ahead of us to advance the hotel industry in Regina.”

Urzada takes over from Ms. Cari Lemieux, General Manager of Days Inn (Regina East).  Lemieux served as the Board’s Chair since 2011. “We extend our gratitude to Ms. Lemieux for her leadership, passion and dedication to the Association,” said Fahlman.  Lemieux will remain on the Board assuming the position of Past Chair.

Established as a not-for-profit in 2006, the Regina Hotel Association (RHA) is a hotel industry organization representing 3,000 guest rooms in 22 hotels across the city that employ over 1,350 people in Regina.
