The Voice of the Hotel Industry in Saskatchewan’s Capital City

The Regina Hotel Association (RHA) protects and advances the business interests of Regina’s destination hotels through result-based marketing, advocacy, and member services.  We are a not-for-profit organization representing over 3,250 guest rooms in 24 hotels that employ over 1,400 people in our city.

The RHA plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth for member hotels by building Regina as a destination for sports and business events. All 24 of our hotel members, representing 86% of the guest rooms in Regina, contribute 3% of their gross revenue to a Destination Marketing Fund (DMF). This fund serves as the cornerstone of our mission, enabling us to strategically invest in marketing initiatives geared toward attracting events that increase hotel stays and deliver tangible returns to our members. DMFs are common across Canada and in Saskatchewan. While these fees are not legislated by government, they are recognized under the Provincial Sales Tax Act (PST-47) as a hotel fee used by hotel associations to promote destination travel to the area and PST must be collected on this fee.
