that the Regina Hotel Association (RHA) has renewed its major sponsorship commitment for the third year in a row, aligning with its commitment to enhance Regina as an event destination. SFW will produce its third annual fashion spectacular, May 8-10, 2014. SFW is a provincial celebration of fashion, creative design, entrepreneurship, and music that attracts visitors to Regina for a fashion tourism experience. “We are delighted to once again sponsor this prestigious Saskatchewan event,” said Tracy Fahlman, Chief Executive Officer, RHA.” Since 2012, the RHA has provided over $75,000 to support the startup and sustainability of Saskatchewan Fashion Week. “Congratulations to the talented organizers who have built a marquee annual event, establishing a new destination experience for Regina.” From motion-picture to motion-design, SFW will transform the Sound Stage into a fashion exhibition, with Saskatchewan born, award winning actor, creator, and producer, Amy Matysio as the host. Twenty-one Saskatchewan designers will show original Fall/Winter 2014 collections, and nine retailers will show emerging retail trends on the runway. “The creation and continuation of SFW is contingent on the relationships we cultivate with valuable sponsors, and the RHA has been integral to establishing SFW as an attractive destination experience,” said Chris Pritchard, SFW executive director and co-founder. “Regina has a growing fashion tourism economy, including SFW, that benefits the RHA’s member hotels and influences room night stays.” SFW has secured preferred hotel room rates for contributors and ticket purchasers with Radisson Plaza Hotel Saskatchewan, Delta Regina Hotel, Quality Hotel Regina, and Ramada Plaza Hotel.
